VANCOUVER RISE FC SIGN NORTH VANCOUVER'S KIRSTIN TYNAN
Goalkeeper played with TSS Rovers in League1 BC and at Queen's University
VANCOUVER, BC – Vancouver Rise FC announced on Wednesday that the club has signed North Vancouver’s Kirstin Tynan to the inaugural roster.
“We’re proud to welcome Kirstin to Vancouver Rise FC,” said sporting director Stephanie Labbé. “She has proven herself as a goalkeeper at both the collegiate and League1 BC levels in Canada. Kirstin's experience abroad training with Everton gave her valuable experience in a professional environment that will be a big asset in her transition into the professional game right here in Vancouver.”
Tynan, along with teammates Shannon Woeller and Ariel Young, will be in attendance at Wednesday’s PWHL game in Vancouver.
The 22-year-old goalkeeper enters her first professional season in the Northern Super League (NSL) after excelling with TSS Rovers over the past two seasons in League1 BC, captaining the team in 2024 and being named Swanguardians Women's Player of the Year.
At the collegiate level, Tynan made 58 U Sports starts in net for the Queen’s University Gaels from 2021 to 2024, recording 33 clean sheets. Tynan captained the team in 2023 and 2024, was named a U Sports All-Canadian and OUA First Team All-Star in 2023, and helped the team win the OUA women’s soccer title in 2021.
In 2023, Tynan spent time training abroad with English Women’s Super League side Everton FC.
